3. Abs will strengthen your back.

Most back pain is related to week abs. All the muscles that run back and forth around your midsection don't work alone. They're like a spiders web some of them even attaching to your spine. Now when you have weak abs other muscles have to come in and do the work that the abs were supposed to be doing. The effect of this is that is that it destabilizes the spine and will eventually lead to back pain and strain.
